Telangana horror: Woman injects toilet cleaner into husband via cannula in chilling murder plot
A 35-year-old man from Telangana’s Nizamabad district, working in a Gulf country, was allegedly murdered by his wife during medical treatment, police said on Monday.
The victim’s mother lodged a complaint on July 1, stating that she was informed of her son Prasanth’s death on June 30.
She claimed she was unaware he had even visited home and expressed doubts over the circumstances surrounding his death.
Initial investigation flags suspicious circumstances
Police said early findings, supported by technical evidence, raised suspicion against the victim’s wife Sandhya (32).
Investigators also uncovered an alleged extramarital relationship between Sandhya and another man, Anil (35).
According to officials, the duo allegedly conspired to eliminate Prasanth, whom they saw as an obstacle to their relationship.
Failed first attempt, then hospital plot
Police said the accused initially attempted to kill Prasanth with the help of a third person, Venkata Sai.
On June 29, Sai allegedly made the victim consume alcohol and later pushed him from a terrace on instructions from Sandhya over the phone.
However, the victim survived the fall and sustained serious injuries. He was subsequently admitted to a government hospital and later shifted to a private facility before being taken back home.
Alleged poison injection through cannula
Investigators further allege that while Prasanth was undergoing treatment, Sandhya injected toilet cleaner and anaesthesia through his cannula on the instructions of Anil.
Police said she also pushed him from the cot, which ultimately led to his death.
Accused confessed, arrested
Authorities stated that the accused voluntarily admitted their involvement during questioning. Sandhya, Anil, and Venkata Sai have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
Further investigation is underway.
