Three civilians abducted by militants in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 17 (IBNS) :  Three civilians were abducted by unidentified gunmen in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday morning, media reports said.

Police said that three people were abducted from Saidpora Payeen area of Shopian district. While two are residents of Shopian district, one is a resident of nearby Kulgam district. Search operations have been launched to trace them.

The incident comes two days after a 17-year-old youth was abducted from a village in Shopian and killed by militants in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.The youth’s bullet-riddled body was found in Pulwama’s Niklora village.

Details of the incidents are awaited.
