Three militants killed during Kashmir infiltration

Srinagar, July 27 (IBNS): The Army on Thursday claimed that it gunned down three militants when they were trying to infiltrate into this parts of Kashmir in Gurez Valley of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

A Srinagar-based defence spokesman, Col. Rajesh Kalia said three militants were killed after army foiled an infiltration bid in Gurez.

He said the operation was in progress.

An official said that a group of 3-6 militants tried to sneak into this side of LoC last night.

“Army's 13 Sikh regiment guarding the LoC near Bagtore area of Gurez noticed their movement. The militants opened fire after they were challenged. During the operation, three militants were killed," he said.
