Three soldiers killed in avalanche, five trapped

New Delhi, Mar 3(IBNS) Three soldiers of Kumaon Scouts were killed and five others remained trapped in an avalanche in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district on Tuesday.

Reports said eight soldiers were trapped in the avalanche of whom three died.

The incident took place  near Sialak border outpost.

Details of the mishap are awaited.
