Three ULFA militants nabbed in Assam

Guwahati, Apr 29 (IBNS) : Security forces on Wednesday apprehended three hardcore ULFA militants in Assam's Sonitpur district, police said.

Following a tip-off, police and army jointly launched operation at Kudum Ghat area in the North Assam district and nabbed the militants who were identified as Hemanta Saikia, Debojit Gogoi and Dipen Sahu.

Security personnel  recovered two point 32mm pistols with magazines, seven rounds of live ammunition in possession of them.

The nabbed militants were involved in extortion activities in northern Assam.
