Three youths drown while swimming into bheri in Bengal

Kolkata, Apr 26 (UNI): Three youths were drowned while swimming into a big bheri (where fish is cultivated) at Mukundarpur under Narendrapur police station, police said on Friday.

Altogether six youths while bathing began to swim to cross the bheri this noon.

While three took the other side of the pond three went missing in the middle of the water body, around 20 bighas in the southern part of the city.

Police with the help of the local people fished out three bodies and they were declared dead at the MR Bangur Hospital.

The bodies have been sent for post mortem.
