Time for all the ministers to update their Twitter bios: Omar Abdullah reminds
Srinagar, May 31 (IBNS): Ex-Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah on Friday urged new ministers in the Narendra Modi-led government to update their social media portfolios after they were allotted new positions following the oath-taking ceremony on Monday.

Amit Shah, the architect of a spectacular victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections, is India's new Home Minister while his predecessor Rajnath Singh gets Defence as the portfolios of the lists of ministers in the Narendra Modi government 2.0 were announced on Friday.
Shah bagged the Home Ministry as was widely speculated when it was first known that he would join the cabinet in the second term of Modi.
Rajnath Singh, a BJP veteran, has been handed over the Defence Ministry which was earlier held by Nirmala Sitharaman.
In absence of Arun Jaitley, who has opted out of the government owing to health issues, Nirmala Sitharaman has been given the responsibility of the Finance Ministry and Corporate Affairs Ministry.
Sitharaman, who had strongly reacted to the Opposition's Rafale allegations in the parliament in last 18 months, was the Defence Minister since 2017.
Former Foreign Secretary Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, who took oath as the minister a day ago, has been given the charge of Ministry of External Affairs on expected lines.
Sushma Swaraj, who didn't contest the Lok Sabha polls and was not keeping too well, was not in the list of 58 ministers who sworn in at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday.
Swaraj had endeared entire India and people from across the world with her humane approach to extending assistance in every crisis of even individuals by using the social media tool of Twitter.
She became such a popular minister for her Twitter engagements that many were seen grieving her absence in the External Affairs Ministry and urging through tweets the new Modi government to reinstate her.
Among other cabinet ministers, Piyush Goyal will continue as the Railway Minister; Nitin Gadkari as Road, Transport and Highway Minister, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises; Ravi Shankar Prasad as Ministries of Law and Justice, Communications, Electronics and Information Technology; Smriti Irani as Minister of Women and Child Development and Textiles.
General VK Singh has been the charge of Minister of State in the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways.
In total, the Modi government consists of nine cabinet ministries, 25 Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 24 Ministers of State (MoS).
