TMC MP Sushmita Dev 'attacked' in Tripura

| @indiablooms | Oct 22, 2021, at 08:55 pm

Agartala/IBNS: Trinamool Congress (TMC) Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev was allegedly attacked during her campaign in West Tripura Friday.

The TMC has claimed Dev's car was vandalised while she was campaigning by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers.

One I-PAC employee was also attacked, the party alleged.

TMC has put up a tweet, "People of #Tripura will give a befitting response to this BARBARIC ATTACK! Police must immediately stop acting as mere spectators. This collapse of law and order is unacceptable. WE DEMAND JUSTICE!"

After wresting power in West Bengal for the third consecutive term in 2021, the TMC is locking horns with the BJP in Tripura.
