Tributes paid to soldier in Jammu and Kashmir's Akhnoor

Jammu, Jul 31 (UNI) Army on Wednesday paid tributes to a jawan in Akhnoor area, here on city outskirts.

Naik Krishan Lal on Tuesday attained martyrdom in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri when Pakistan violated ceasefire by firing unprovoked.

Defence Spokesperson here said that tributes were paid to him in a ceremonial wreath laying ceremony

Major General R Dewan, GOC Crossed Swords Division laid wreath and all ranks of Crossed Swords Division paid tributes to the martyr.

The mortal remains moved out for his native village Ghagriyal, where the last rites would take place.
