Two BSF jawans killed in unprovoked firing by Pak Army along LoC

Srinagar, Apr 10 (IBNS) :  Two Border Security men were killed after Pakistani Rangers opened unprovoked firing  in Sunderbani Sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in  Jammu Kashmir on Tuesday.

An official said that the Pakistani Army initiated "unprovoked and indiscriminate firing" from small arms, automatic weapons and  mortars. The Indian army retaliated "strongly and effectively."

During the exchange of fire,,  Riflemen  Vinod Singh and Jaki Sharma were  grievously wounded. They succumbed to their injuries.

Rifleman Vinod Singh, 24,  belonged to Village Danapur, Jaurian, District  Akhnoor, J&K. He is survived by his father, Ajit Singh.

Rifleman Jaki Sharma, 30,  belonged to Village Sanhail, Hiranagar district of Jammu. He is survived by  his wife, Rajni Devi.
