Two jawans from West Bengal killed in Uri terror attack

Srinagar/New Delhi/Kolkata, Sept 19 (IBNS): At least two jawans from West Bengal were killed on Sunday in a deadly terror attack on the Uri army base in Jammu and Kashmir, which left 17 jawans martyred and several others injured, army officials said on Monday.

According to Indian Army reports, the names of the killed West Bengal jawans are- Sepoy Biswajit Ghorai and Sepoy G. Dalai.

Ghorai and  Dalai were the residents of Gangasagar in South 24 Parganas and Jagatballavpur in Howrah districts of West Bengal respectively.

Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday witnessed one of the deadliest attacks in a decade's time when four heavily armed terrorists sneaked into the 12 Brigade Army camp in Uri sector. .

The terror strike took place 100 kms from state capital Srinagar, in North Kashmir Uri town near the line of control.
