Two members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang held from Delhi’s Vasant Kunj

New Delhi/UNI: Two members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang have been apprehended after a brief encounter near Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, Delhi police said on Saturday.

Duo, identified as Anish (23) native of Haryana and a 15-year-old juvenile, were allegedly on the way to firing near a renowned five-star hotel in the South Delhi area for extortion, Delhi police claimed.

According to police, a total five rounds were allegedly fired by assailants at the police team, in retaliation police opened fire two rounds and apprehended them.

A case has been registered under section 186/353/307/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms act.

During the investigation, it has been revealed that Anish was allegedly involved in six criminal cases of armed robbery, Arms Act and assault in Rohtak district. The juvenile was allegedly involved in an armed robbery case in the same area previously, claimed police.
