Dispur, Aug 30 (IBNS): Two persons were allegedly beaten to death in Dibrugarh district of Assam late Friday night, reports said. The duo was accused of raping and murdering a woman at a tea garden in the Chabua area of the district.

Police said the victim’s body was found on Friday morning. The family members of the woman suspected two men in the area of having raped and murdered her.

Later the irate mob searched for the duo and lynched them at the garden.

They also claimed that the family members of the victim had informed the police and lodged a missing diary. But the sleuths never turned up to search her out.
