Bengaluru, Nov 10 (IBNS): A three-storey under construction building collapsed in Bengaluru's Thyagaraja Nagar area on Monday leaving one killed, media reports said.

According to reports, the reason for the collapse is deep excavation in an adjacent building.

Dog squad and fire department have been deployed at the site to find out if more people are trapped under the debris.

A Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike official, present at the site of the collapsed building, told media that the building which collapsed had not violated any law.

He said that the owner of the adjacent property started excavating a few days back.

The process ended up digging close to the foundation pillars of the three-storey building, which led to the collapse.
