Under-trial prisoner escapes from hospital

Kalaburagi /UNI: An under-trial prisoner who was undergoing treatment in the district Government hospital has reportedly escaped from the hospital, police sources said here on Monday.

The police identified the escaped under-trial as as Mujeeb (24), a native of Chincholi town of the district and someone who was involved in robbery cases across various states.

Mujeeb was admitted to the district hospital two days ago due to ill-health. The accused managed to give the police the slip and escaped from the hospital on Sunday night.

Brahmapur police have registered a case against Mujeeb.
