Undertrials attack jail officials, hold them hostage

Chennai, Sept 26 (IBNS) At least four policemen were injured as 10 undertrials attacked them inside Chennai's Puzhal Central Jail on Friday, reports said.

The jail inmates, all murder accused,  also held the officials hostage for some time.

The situation was later brought under control and the undertrials shifted to other jails.

Details of the incident are still awaited.
