United Nations General Assembly President Dennis Francis visits Jaipur Foot Centre, calls it an example of 'Indian ingenuity'

United Nations General Assembly President Dennis Francis on Wednesday visited Jaipur Foot Centre in Rajasthan and said it is an example of Indian ingenuity and a pinnacle of innovation that restores hope and dignity.

The organization specialises in providing affordable and accessible prosthetic limbs to millions. 

"Uplifted by my visit to the Jaipur Foot centre in Rajasthan, an organisation specialized at providing affordable & accessible prosthetic limbs to millions," Francis posted on X.

He is visiting India at the invitation of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar from January 22 to January 26.

Belonging to the diplomatic service of Trinidad and Tobago, Dennis Francis has announced his Presidency priorities to include peace, prosperity, progress and sustainability.

PGA will also travel to Jaipur and Mumbai. In Mumbai, he will pay floral tributes at the 26/11 memorial.

PGA’s engagements in Mumbai will include a visit to the National Stock Exchange and an address on New Orientation for Reformed Multilateralism organized by the Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

On January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day, PGA will participate as a State guest in the Republic Day Parade of Maharashtra.
