Unlicensed rifles recovered from civilian’s house in J&K's Kishtwar

Jammu, Oct 17 (UNI): Security forces have recovered three unlicensed rifles from the house of a civilian in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources here said that late on Wednesday night, a raid was conducted in the house of one Ghulam Mohammad in Chatroo area and three rifles and some explosive material were recovered.

“A 12-bore double-barrel rifle with 65 cartridges and two double barrel rifles besides 500 grams gunpowder and 100 grams of other explosive material were seized,” they said adding that the recovery was not licensed while a case has been registered and investigation started.

Meanwhile no arrest has been made so far.
