UP: CM Yogi Adityanath prioritises women safety, Swachh Bharat in state

Lucknow, Mar 21 (IBNS): In his first day at the office, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has chalked out plans for the state, giving top priority to women safety and cleanliness in the state, reports said.

In his meeting with top bureaucrats on Monday, the UP Chief Minister has warned officers against inciting communal violence, promising severe punishment if found guilty.

He also asked bureaucrats to declare their assets within a fortnight.

The Chief Minister has announced the tentative period for the budget session, which is scheduled for June 15 to July 15.

Yogi Adityanath also made the IAS officers read out the Swachh Bharat pledge, a first for the bureaucrats.

"This was the first time we were asked to take a pledge to work," the Times of India quoted a bureaucrat as saying.
