Uttar Pradesh: Sleeper coach of Pawan Express catches fire; no casualty

Chitrakoot, Jun 3 (UNI) A major accident on a running train was averted in Uttar Pradesh when a sleeper coach of Pawan express train caught fire near Bargarh railway station on Monday.

The passengers of the train pulled the chain to stop the train and jumped out of the burning coach along with their luggage.

None was injured in the incident.

Police sources said the railway employees rushed to douse the flames and it was controlled within 30 minutes.

The train which was on its way to Darbhanga( Bihar) from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus( Mumbai), was detained for about an hour, due to the fire.
