Uttar Pradesh: Unaccountable cash recovered in Jhansi

Jhansi, Apr 22 (UNI) An unaccountable amount of Rs 3,65,000 was recovered from a trader during a regular check conducted by Kotwali police in this dictrict of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.

According to the police, the Model Code of Conduct is in force in the district and hence, an intensive check on the vehicles is being undertaken.

Following which, Rs 3,65,000 was recovered from a luxury car at around 0030 hours on Sunday night.

Since the convict held could not not give a satisfactory reply as to where was the money being taken and why, the police seized the money.
