Vajpayee to be awarded Bharat Ratna on Friday

New Delhi, Mar 25(IBNS) Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee will be awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian award, on Friday at his home.
President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are expected to be present on the occasion.
 
Vajpayee,90, thrice became the country's prime minister. The Bharaitya Janata Party has long demanded Bharat Ratna for him. 
 
The government will also present the Bharat Ratna to the family of Madan Mohan Malviya, educationist and founder of the Benaras Hindu University, on March 30.
