Veterinary doctor rape-murder case: Telangana govt to set up fast track court

Hyderabad/UNI/IBNS: Amid widespread protest, the Telangana government has decided to set up fast track court in the case related to the alleged rape and murder of a veterinary doctor in the state.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday instructed the officials to put the brutal rape-murder case of a veterinary doctor on a fast track and give stringent punishment to the culprits.

Rao has asked the officials concerned to take measures on the issue. 
In the murder case of a minor girl in Warangal, due to setting up of the fast track court, the verdict came after 56-day trail.

Rao announced that the government would extend all necessary help and support to members of the victim's family.

Calling the incident a gruesome and inhuman act, the Chief Minister said he was upset that the perpetrators of such 'heinous crimes are living amidst us'.
