New Delhi, Mar 16 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Roopa Ganguly on Thursday slammed oppositions's allegation against her over child trafficking issue in West Bengal.

Congress MP Rajni Patil without taking any name, attacked two MPs in Rajya Sabha questioning their link with child trafficking that recently took place in the Jalpaiguri district of WB.

"There is a NGO that works in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, where several children are brought and then flouting the rules, they are sold the to France and also South East Asia. After the investigation, it was found that the Principal Secretary of BJP's Women's Wing was involved in the case. When the accused was arrested, she took the name of two people out of whom, one person is now present in the House but I won't take the name," she said in the Rajya Sabha.

Following the allegation, Ganguly erupted in the Upper House thinking that Patil was accusing her.

In an investigation by CID (Criminal Investigation Department) in the case of child trafficking, police had arrested BJP leader Juhi Chowdhury who supposedly taken the names of some "influential political personalities."

According to a media report on March 2, an officer of the CID said: "Juhi is being interrogated about her alleged involvement in the child trafficking racket. She has mentioned the names of some influential political personalities during interrogation which we cannot reveal right now for the sake of the investigation."

Trinamool Congress also supported Congress' allegations brought against BJP in the house.
