Kolkata, Sept 3 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a student of the elite Jadavpur University in Kolkata has alleged molestation at the hands of a group of 10 male students, who dragged her to the boys hostel to commit the heinous crime.
The victim, a second year History Honours student, has alleged that she was attacked by 10 male students during a college festival on the evening of Aug 28, media reports said.

She said that her attackers forcefully took her to the boys hostel and molested her.

All the accused are students of the varsity's Arts faculty.

The victim initially informed the college authorities about the incident and then registered a complaint with the police.

Police have started probe under sections 354 (criminal assault on a woman to outrage her modesty) and 379 (theft) of the IPC against the accused.

No arrests have been made so far.

This comes after a first-year student of West Bengal's iconic Visva-Bharati University was sexually harassed by three of her seniors.
