Malda, Apr 10 (IBNS) A group of ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers on Thursday allegedly assaulted some Election Commission (EC) officials in West Bengal's Malda district, said reports.

According to reports, the TMC workers had taken out a two-wheeler rally at Manikchak area in Malda Dakshin constituency, which was against EC rules. The officers reportedly tried to stop them and take photos of the rally as a proof to be submitted at the EC.

However, TMC workers manhandled them and even destroyed their cameras, said reports.

No one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
