We want good relationship with Pakistan: Rajnath

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IBNS): Amid ceasefire violations, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said India wants to have good relationship with Pakistan.

Speaking to media, Singh said: "Pakistan is our neighbouring nation. We want good relations with all our neighbours."

Singh said Pakistan should also take steps to avoid ceasefire violations.

Meanwhile, India and Pakistan have exchanged barbs over the issue as Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif told reporters: " Tt seems that they do not understand this language."

He said Pakistan will 'now communicate' with India in the 'language they understand'.

Firing by Pakistani troops continued along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir as several civilians in border villages sustained injures in Kathua and Samba districts, said media reports on Saturday.

Reports said eight were injured in the latest firing while earlier a BSF personnel was killed.

Five Pakistani Rangers were also killed in Indian retaliation so far, said reports.

Heavy firing has been reported earlier from Samba and Hiranagar sectors.

Several Border Security Force (BSF) posts have been targeted.

The firing occurred at a time when the Indian Coast Guard on Friday said the suspicious Pakistani boat, that blew itself up near the Gujarat coast on the new year's eve, had continued to send signals of non-compliance despite being cornered by it
