Kolkata, May 28 (IBNS): At least nine persons, including 3 children, were seriously injured on Saturday due to a crude bomb explosion in Trinamool Congress (TMC)'s victory-march at Tripalpur village near Basirhat area in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district, reports said.

According to reports, a day after the TMC government took oath for the second time, local TMC leader-activists arranged a victory-rally in the area. While the rally was passing through Tripalpur area, suddenly an explosion occurred.

At least 9 persons, who were standing beside the road to witness the victory-march, were injured in the blast. They have been admitted to Basirhat Hospital nearby.

Local TMC leaders alleged that CPI-M activists threw the crude bomb aiming at the rally.

However, police have started investigation into the matter and nobody has been detained so far.
