West Bengal: Two fires break out in Howrah, no casualty

Kolkata/Howrah, Mar 23 (IBNS): Two major fires broke out at different places in West Bengal's Howrah district on Wednesday, reports said.

According to reports, a fire broke out in a plywood warehouse at Foreshore Road in Howrah. As many as ten fire tender engines rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. The warehouse has been gutted completely in the accident.

Another fire was reported from a residential building near state's main secretariat building- Nabanno- in the afternoon. Several fire tender engines went to the spot and firefighters fought for hours to bring the blaze under control.

However, no casualty has been reported so far in both incidents. Fire department has started investigation to know the exact reasons behind the fires.
