What Modi and LG doing, Kejriwal asks over rape of minors

| | Oct 17, 2015, at 07:07 pm
New Delhi, Oct 17(IBNS) As Delhi witnessed witnessed back to back incidents of rapes of minors, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday lashed out at the centre and the capital's Lieutenant Govnor Najib over the security situation in the national capital.

"Repeated rape of minors is shameful and worrying. Delhi Police has completely failed to provide safety. What are PM and his LG doing?", he tweeted.

His  offensive against the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre and the Lieutenant General came after  after two separate incidents of rapes of minors were reported in the capital on Friday.

Kejriwal has met the  rape survivors in the hospitals.

In the first case, a two-and-a-half year old girl was raped allegedly by two men who abducted her from outside her house in west Delhi's Nangloi area.

In the second incident on the same day, a five-year-old was raped allegedly by three men in east Delhi's Anand Vihar area. The girl was reportedly alone at home when a neighbours of theirs  took her to his house and then allegedly raped her along with his friends.

Both of them sustained severe injuries.

The incidents took place a week after the rape and torture of a four-year-old girl in Delhi.
