Woman found hanging in Kolkata multi-storey

Kolkata, Apr 28 (IBNS): Hanging body of a middle-aged woman was recovered in a posh apartment at Prince Anwar Shah Road area under Lake Police Station limits in south Kolkata on Friday, reports said.

According to reports, the woman, Pinky Kumari, was found hanging from ceiling fan inside her room, on the 13th floor of the city highrise.

The housewife was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead.

A police official told IBNS that the woman was alone in her flat during the incident and her flat was locked from inside, which are indicating that she committed suicide. 

"We have started investigation into the case and her husband, who is claiming that he was in office during the incident, has been detained for interrogation," the official said.
