Woman molested in Mumbai local train

Mumbai, Apr 6 (IBNS): Raising questions on safety of women in trains, a woman was molested by a man in a Mumbai local on Thursday night, media reports said.

The man also tried to strangulate the woman.

According to reports, both of them were known to each other.

"The couple were friends and had an altercation in a coach meant for handicap people of a CST-bound train between Kalyan and Dadar between 11pm and 11.22 pm," The Times of India reported.

The incident was reported to Dadar Police by co-passengers.

A case of attempt to commit murder and molestation has been filed against the man.
