'You will bow before Tejashwi after Nov 10': Chirag Paswan to Nitish Kumar amid Bihar Polls

Patna/IBNS: In another surprising attack on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Chirag Paswan has said the Janata Dal (United) chief will have to "bow" before Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)'s Tejashwi Yadav after Nov 10, when the the results for the Bihar assembly polls will be declared, media reports said.

Paswan, a former ally of the country's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), attacked Kumar for sharing the dais with Prime Minister Narendra Modi whom he had attacked earlier on a number of issues.

The LJP chief was presumably referring to Kumar's ideological differences with Modi's BJP on matters like the abrogation of Article 370 and Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

Earlier accusing Kumar of doing injustice to Paswan, Yadav had said, "What Nitish Kumar Ji did with Chirag Paswan was not good. Chirag Paswan needs his father at this time more than ever before but Ram Vilas Paswan is not among us and we are sad about it. The way Nitish Kumar behaved...did injustice to Chirag Paswan."

Yadav's comment came after Paswan had told English news channel NDTV, "I touched his feet and he ignored me. Everyone saw that. I am shocked that because of our personal feelings, we even forget basic shishtachar (courtesy)."

Though Bihar poll, the last phase of which is due to be held on Nov 7, had initially looked like a cakewalk for the JD(U)-BJP-led alliance, the contest between the incumbent and the opposition is now looking more intense with Yadav's packed rallies and a high-pitched campaign.

Paswan, the son of late Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, walked out of the ruling coalition just before the polls to contest the electoral battle alone.
