Youth held for kidnapping and raping a minor girl

Kendrapara, Feb 18 (UNI) Sadar police today arrested a youth on the charges of kidnapping and raping a minor girl.

Kendrapara Sadar police station IIC Kabuli Barik said one Manoj Kumar Mallick, of Danaramunda village under Marshaghai police station was arrested from Dohali Chandol under Sadar police station on the basis of the FIR lodged by the father of the victim girl.

Mr Barik said, Manoj was produced, before the Additional Sessions Judge of Kendrapara under Section 363,376(3) IPC; 4 POCSO Act and the court remanded him into jail custody after rejecting his bail petition.

Police produced the girl before the court to record her statement under Section 164 CrPC,

As per the allegation Manoj had kidnapped the girl from her village Aitipur threatening to kill her parents .
