Actor Raghubir Yadav features in Indranil Ghosh's film Siniolchu

Kolkata/IBNS: Veteran actor Raghubir Yadav will star in Indranil Ghosh's upcoming Hindi film Siniolchu, which will be a tale of friendship set in the backdrop of one of the tallest mountains of Sikkim of the same name as the title.

The film will mark KSS Productions and Entertainment's debut project in the Hindi language.

Apart from Yadav, it stars Prem Kumar Pradhan, Tiyasha and Riya Bhujel.

Yadav essays the role of Daowa, a character that sells eggs and has befriended eight-year-old Maya.

Speaking on his shooting experience, Yadav said, "What I felt during our shoot cannot be described in words. It felt like we had come to enjoy living in a hill station and not work."

The language used in this film crossovers to all cultures such is the power of storytelling using friendship as the crux to identify with one and another.

In a world where cruelty can be witnessed in many forms, this film is a tale of a person that can unconditionally love everything.

On this project, Indranil Ghosh said, "Everyone in our unit worked beautifully in making the film, including the local artists that went through workshops before playing supporting roles in Siniolchu."

Another facet to this project was the utilisation of local artists, who underwent auditions and a couple of workshops to overcome language barrier issues.

Most of the local artists in the past had studied under Raghubir at the National School of Drama.

When specifically asked by India Blooms on using local people in film projects, Ghosh said, "It was wonderful to witness the teachers and his old students coming and paying their respects while honing their craft."

Positive about the film, which is slated for 2023 release, producer Kan Singh Sodha said, "Siniolchu tells a simple story of friendship, joy and pain and the language of emotion is universal."
