Arjun Kapoor, Anushka Sharma support Alia Bhatt in slamming media house for 'invading privacy'

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt found support in her own fraternity after she called out a media house for allegedly invading her privacy.

Alia on Tuesday took to Instagram to slam a media house for allegedly taking photographs of her sitting casually in the living room of her house.

Along with the images, she wrote a furious note that read, "Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my LIVING ROOM when I felt something watching me... I looked up and saw two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building with a camera right at me!"

"In what world is this okay and allowed? This is a gross invasion of someone's privacy! There's a line you just cannot cross and it's safe to say all lines were crossed today!" Alia concluded her note, tagging Mumbai police in her post.

Supporting Alia, actor Arjun Kapoor wrote on Instagram, "Absolutely shameless. This is crossing all limits if a woman isn't feeling safe in her own home, forget if she is a public figure or not for a second...

"Any sane person who takes photographs of public figures for a living needs to know that this is pathetic conduct and these are people in the media we have trusted and shown implicit faith in believing they are here to do a job not to make women feel unsafe or invade one's privacy. This is nothing short of stalking..."

Actor Anushka Sharma, who too had called out the media house earlier, said, "This is not the first time they are doing this. About two years ago we called them out for the same reason!

"You'd think it would have made them more respectful of people's space and privacy. Absolutely shameful! They were also the only guys posting photos of our daughter despite repeated requests."

This is not the first time Alia Bhatt called out the media.

During her pregnancy days, she once called out a media report that claimed that actor Ranbir Kapoor might travel to the UK to "bring his wife home" when she was in London filming her Hollywood debut Heart of Stone.

On her Instagram, Alia pointed out that she doesn't need to be "picked up" or get rest, explaining that no schedules were being affected in any way.
