Combination of speed and movement in Suraiyya dance was very challenging: Katrina Kaif

Mumbai, Oct 25 (IBNS): Actress Katrina Kaif, who is set to sizzle audiences with Suraiyya song of upcoming Hindi film Thugs of Hindostan, has acknowledged the hardship she had to endure in the making of the number.

The song's teaser, which has been released by the filmmakers a day ago, features Katrina in her hot and sizzling avatars, flaunting her midriff and abs, raising mercury level by her dance moves.

Regarding the song, Katrina said: "Actually it is a song which I really love. I think there is a lot of heart, fun and personality in the song."

In the making video, which has been released by Yash Raj Films, Katrina could be seen working hard, rehearsing the steps and trying to reach the utmost perfection.

Speaking about the dance moves, the 35-year old actress said: "When I saw the choreography, I thought it was fantastic of course but also I realised that it was very tough. The speed was extremely fast but the movement was very fluid. So that combination was very challenging."

Aamir, who is one of the lead actors in the film, also features in the song alongside Katrina.

Aamir, dressed as a British captain, has the guts to woo Katrina in front of a room filled with British officers. It is a peppy, humorous song which shows off their fun and teasing chemistry.

Praising Katrina, who often receives acclaims for her dances in Hindi films, Aamir said: "These are steps that I would not have been able to do had I been rehearsing for like some 10 years. But somehow she manages to pull them off."

The song has been composed by the renowned duo Ajay-Atul while Amitabh Bhattacharya has penned its lyrics. Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani have sung the song.

Prabhudheva has designed the song that combines old Indian dance forms with intricate contemporary moves.

Along with Aamir and Katrina, Thugs of Hindostan, which is set to treat audiences across age groups with its action sequences along with an epic adventure and war on the seas, stars Amitabh Bachchan and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead roles.

British actor Lloyd Owen will play the villain's role in the film. Owen will be seen portraying cruel, evil, highly manipulative and merciless villain of Thugs of Hindostan, Lord John Clive, who was the commander of the East India Company.

The star-studded film is slated to release on Nov 8, on the occasion of festival Diwali.
