Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood actors Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were among many celebrities who enjoyed the FIFA World Cup 2022 final match in Qatar.

Sharing glimpses from the match Ranveer wrote: "The greatest World Cup final ever & I was there."

In another story, he referred to his wife Deepika as his "real trophy".

In a video, he can be seen hugging Deepika from behind.

Later, the couple can be seen celebrating (Argentina's big win against France) while Ranveer chants, "Oh my god, oh my god..." as Deepika hugs him. Sharing the video, the actor captioned it as "The historic moment."

Argentina lifted the FIFA World Cup trophy after 36 years.

Earlier, Deepika also unveiled the world Cup trophy.

Argentina defeated France by 4-2 margin in a dramatic penalty shootout to lift the title. Both the teams were tied at 3-3 after the completion of regular and extra time.

Messi, who is the captain of the Argentina squad and led the country to win their third World Cup title, netted seven goals in seven games and became the first player to score in each round of the same World Cup ever since the last-16 round was introduced in the signature football event in 1986.

Messi also won the same award in 2014.

Argentina was defeated in the final of the 2014 edition of the showpiece event.
