Dragon glimpse explodes online as Jr NTR unveils fierce new avatar on birthday
Mumbai/IBNS: The internet has been abuzz ever since the makers unveiled the first glimpse of filmmaker Prashanth Neel’s upcoming film Dragon featuring N. T. Rama Rao Jr. on Wednesday.
The first glimpse was released to coincide with Jr NTR’s 43rd birthday.
Dark and violent cinematic world unveiled
The teaser officially confirmed the film’s title and offered audiences a dark and violent first look into Prashanth Neel’s new cinematic universe.
Set in 1967 against the backdrop of the international opium trade and the “Afghan Trading Company”, the teaser introduces a gritty and intense world.
Jr NTR appears in a fierce new avatar as “Luger”, described as the Assassin-in-Chief of the organisation.
Fans call it ‘next-level mass cinema’
The glimpse began trending within minutes of release, particularly as it arrived as a birthday surprise for Jr NTR fans.
Several viewers praised the teaser’s scale, visuals and the actor’s rugged transformation.
Some social media users even described the actor-director combination as “insane” and “next-level mass cinema”.

The teaser also hints at a major role for Anil Kapoor, while Rukmini Vasanth is also part of the film’s cast.
Dragon is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 11, 2027.
