Mumbai, Mar 21 (IBNS): The trailer of upcoming film PM Narendra Modi, which is a biopic on the Prime Minister, features not only the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader's love for his country but also the Gujarat riot which took place in 2002.

In the trailer, then Gujarat Chief Minister Modi could be seen upset with the communal tension which had erupted in the western state.

At the end of the trailer, the Prime Minister is seen giving a warning to Pakistan over terror attacks.

Modi has been essayed in the film by actor Vivek Oberoi.

Film critic Taran Adarsh tweeted, "Trailer of #PMNarendraModi... Stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the title role... Directed by Omung Kumar B... 5 April 2019 release... In #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu..."

The film is scheduled to release on Apr 5.

Modi, a former Gujarat Chief Minister, became the Prime Minister in 2014. The 2019 General Elections will decide whether Modi will return as the Prime Minister for the second time in a row.

Though the BJP leader was accused of inciting violence in Gujarat in 2002, he was cleared of complicity later in 2012 by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) appointed by the Supreme Court.
