Kolkata, Mar 31 (IBNS): Having bagged the Vivel Filmfare Awards East 2013 as the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female), actress Konkona Sen Sharma said it was a big honour for her and the Tollywood film industry.

"It is a great honour, not only for Tollywood, but also the Assamese and Odia film industries. Regional film industries play a major role in Indian cinema. Sadly, whenever we talk about Indian cinema outside the country, it is always about Bollywood. Thanks to the 1st Vivel Filmfare Awards 2013 (East), we can collectively work harder to do better in the near future. I thank Filmfare for honouring me with the Best Actress award for Goynar Baksho. It means a lot to me," Konkona told The Times of India.

"We have grown up watching Filmfare Awards and undoubtedly, it is way different from other awards," she said.

The actress bagged the award for her performance in the film 'Goynaar Baksho'.
