Gully Boy smashes Rs. 19 crores at BO on opening day, emerges as a second grandest opening of a Ranveer Singh movie

Mumbai, Feb 15 (IBNS): Gully Boy has emerged as the second movie of actor Ranveer Singh that has made a strong impact on the Box Office on an opening day.

The movie hit the silver screen on Thursday, a day when the nation celebrated Valentine's Day.

The movie earned Rs. 19.40 crores on the BO on the opening day.

It is just behind Ranveer's Simmba with regard to the amount collected at the Box Office on the opening day.

Gully Boy is the first major release of Ranveer this year.

He was seen in two hit movies Padmaavat and then Simmba in 2018.

The movie is directed by Zoya Akhtar.

It also features actress Alia Bhatt in the lead role.

It is for the first time that the two actors-Alia and Ranveer- have united for a movie.
