Mumbai/IBNS: The Indian Air Force (IAF)'s surgical strike as a response to Pakistan-based terrorists' deadly attack on Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama forms the crux of the trailer of Siddharth Anand's upcoming release, Fighter.

The 3:09-minute trailer was dropped by the makers on Monday.

It shows the IAF counter-attacking the terrorists of Pakistan after 40 Indian soldiers were martyred in Pulwama.

The attack took place on February 14, 2019.

Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor play the IAF officers in the film, which also promises to have an emotional roller-coaster.

Hrithik and Deepika, who share screen space for the first time in Fighter, will share a romantic bond in the film.

The film is slated to be released on January 25, 2024 on the occasion of the country's Republic Day (January 26).

Siddharth had previously directed Hrithik in two of his films, 'Bang Bang' and 'War' while Deepika in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' and 'Pathaan'.
