'Humshakals' collects over Rs. 40 cr in opening weekend

Mumbai, June 23 (IBNS): Director Sajid Khan's 'Humshakalas' has registered a good opening at the box-office by collecting Rs. 40.13 crores in the weekend.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh said the film collected Rs. 12.50 crores on Friday and netted  Rs. 12.59 crores on Saturday.

It's Sunday collection is Rs. 15.04 crores.

According to official report, the film had the 4th biggest opening weekend in 2014 after Jai Ho (60.68), Gunday (43.93) and Holiday (41.32).

Starring Saif Ali Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Tamannah, Esha Gupta and Bipasha Basu, 'Humshakals' broke records on day one as it became the third highest opener after Jai Ho and Gunday.

Humshakals is made at a cost of Rs. 75 crore including the P&A.

Fox Star Studios and Vashu Bhagnani's 'Humshakals' has already sold its satellite and music rights for Rs. 45 crore.
