Mumbai/IBNS: Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu has recently revealed she suffers from Celiac disease while responding to online comments calling out her fat body.

Sandhu was recently trolled for her weight and she was called fat on social media.

Speaking to PTI, Sandhu said as quoted by India Today, "I'm one of those individuals who was first bullied that 'she's too skinny' and now they bully me saying 'she's fat'. Nobody knows about my celiac disease. That I can't eat wheat flour and many other things."

Celiac is a disease which is caused by the over ingestion of gluten causing damage to the intestine.

Ending the wait for 21 years, India's Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the Miss Universe in Dec 2021.

The Punjabi model won the showpiece event by beating Paraguay's Nadia Ferreira and South Africa's Lalela Mswane.

Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen had won the first Miss Universe title for India in 1994.
