Mumbai, Nov 3 (IBNS): Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan feels that his birthday is now 'owned' by his fans and family who love him so much.

" I believe ownership makes one very small. I believe I am the luckiest man that I no longer own my Birthday also...it belongs to all these beautiful ppl who love me and my family so much. Thank you God," Khan tweeted.

Khan turned 53 on Friday.

Hashtags like #HappyBirthdaySRK, #HappyBirthdayShahRukKhan and #KingKhan were the top trending topics on Twitter India.

Khan, who had started his acting career in television, completed 25 years in Bollywood in 2017.

Popularly known as King Khan by his fans, the actor is still worshipped and loved for his onscreen chemistry as "Raj" with "Simran" played by Kajol in the 1995 release Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, which later assumed a cult status and is celebrated as one of the best romantic movies to have come out of Bollywood.

The film was such a blockbuster that it ran in Mumbai's Maratha Mandir theatre for a historic 1000 weeks till 2015.

The 53-year old actor-producer has acted in more than 80 films with several movies that had become a huge success not just in his career but also in the Indian cinema history.
