Indian actor Kangana Ranaut will portray late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her own directorial film Emergency.

The film's teaser, which was released Thursday, gives a glimpse of Ranaut's look as Gandhi.

From facial expressions to small habits, Ranaut promises to impress her fans portraying Gandhi.

The film is likely to highlight the infamous emergency period which was declared by then Prime Minister Gandhi in 1975.

Ranaut, who has also written the film, is co-producing Emergency, which is her second directorial film after Manikarnika.

The shooting has already commenced.
