Mumbai/IBNS: Veteran Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit’s web series Mrs. Deshpande has become the most viewed series in India, surpassing Netflix’s popular Stranger Things Season 5.

According to Ormax India, the Jio Hotstar web show Mrs. Deshpande garnered 4.2 million views in the week of December 22–28, while Stranger Things S5 settled in second place with 3.3 million views.

The rest of the top five included Netflix’s Single Papa (1.8 million), Jio Hotstar’s Pharma (1.6 million), and Amazon Prime Video’s Four More Shots Please! Season 4 (1.5 million).

Released on December 19, Mrs. Deshpande is a psychological crime drama adapted from the French series La Mante (The Mantis).

Madhuri Dixit leads the cast, with Siddharth Chandekar, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and Diksha Juneja in key roles. Her character, a convicted criminal with a chilling past, adds psychological depth to the investigation, creating suspense and tension as she collaborates with law enforcement.
