Malayalam actor Siddharth Venugopal dies after battle with cancer

Thiruvananthapuram/IBNS: Malayalam actor Siddharth Venugopal passed away on Saturday after a prolonged illness at the age of 41, media reports said.

He had been battling cancer.

Actor Seema G. Nair confirmed the news in a Facebook post.

Nair wrote, “Hopes have faded… Popular serial actor Siddharth Venugopal has departed to a world without pain. For the past two years, I fought for you. Even when my mind and body were exhausted, I kept running to bring your life back.

“Today, God decided that you should not suffer anymore...,” she added.

Actor Kishor Satya also mourned Venugopal’s demise.

“Prayers for eternal peace to Siddharth’s soul...,” Satya wrote on Facebook.

Career and illness

Venugopal was a Malayalam television actor known for his work in serials, where he became a familiar face among audiences for his natural performances and screen presence.

He had been battling neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare form of cancer, and had been undergoing treatment for some time.

His health was closely supported by Seema G. Nair, who is known for helping artists in need.
