'Marry your best friend': Deepika Padukone's message for Ranveer Singh on Friendship Day

Mumbai/IBNS: Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone shared a special note for her actor husband Ranveer Singh on the occasion of Friendship Day.

Deepika took to Instagram on Sunday to share a post which reads, "Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort.

"The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times."

The note adds, "Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute  - even when the waters get deep, and dark."

Ranveer commented on the post with a nazar amulet, heart and infinity emoji.

After years of dating, Deepika and Ranveer, who are one of the power couples of Bollywood, tied the nuptial knot at a private ceremony in Italy in 2018.

On the work front, Deepika, who starred in 'Pathaan' earlier this year, will feature in 'Project K', 'Fighter' besides playing a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Jawan'.

Ranveer has delivered a big hit at the box office with Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' co-starring Alia Bhatt.
